Do You Feel Merry This Christmas?

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

With all the problems in our country and in the world today, it may be hard to feel merry this Christmas. There are times that even the most stalwart Christian finds themselves having doubts, fears and concern over the unknown future. None of us are exempt from the enemy’s attack against our minds.

The final spiritual frontier is being fought in the minds of the believers. We are being bombarded with every thought process the enemy can conceive. It is his greatest strategy against us for it can cause doubt and fear to arise if we ponder it even for a moment.

Eve fell victim to this same tactic in the Garden of Eden where the first battle was fought and lost. Even though we may lose some battles, if we hold fast to the faith that lies within us we will not lose the war!

We have countless reasons in the natural to feel depressed, worried and afraid. However, in the Spirit we have every reason to rejoice and be exceedingly glad.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father,  The PRINCE OF PEACE.” Isaiah 9:6

The peace of God is an aggressive weapon of war against our enemy. It diffuses his schemes and attacks. God’s peace has no foe that it cannot overcome and no weapon it cannot destroy. As we appropriate the Peace of God to our hearts, souls and mind, a peace that passes all understanding begins to quiet our fears.

There is an answer to every problem in this world. There is an escape from all our fears. There is a place of continuous joy. There is a place of lasting peace. There is a place of eternal hope, and it is in the Name is Jesus!

Yes, you can have a Merry Christmas this year!

“Believe and all things are possible!” Mark 9:23

From my heart to yours…

Merry Christmas

I love you,

Divine Connections

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

The Lord has strategically placed pieces of a puzzle along the pathway of our div-conlives. They each fit together perfectly to form a finely fitted framework. Our destiny sits on this structure.

The pieces of this puzzle can be so easy to find that we actually stumble across them. This is Divine Favor. It is having doors open everywhere we turn, and all we have to do is walk through them. This is the narrow road. Since we are following the narrow road, the pieces of the puzzle actually find us. One piece of the puzzle is connected to the next and so on in a Divine sequence.

Another road is broad.  When we travel this road the pieces of the puzzle become hard to find and can even disappear. No matter how hard we try, every door seems to shut, and those that do open will usually lead to sour grapes. We may even experience seasons of fun, but eventually it will turn to smoke and mirrors. What happened?

We are puzzled to say the least. Where are all those pieces to the puzzle that once led to doors that flew open before us, leading us to true joy and happiness?

At this moment, we must come to the realization that there are two roads which we can travel, but they lead in opposite directions. One is the narrow road that leads to life everlasting, and one is the wide road that leads to destruction. Matthew 7:13

The choice is ours to make. We can choose life or death. We can enjoy the benefits of finding life and each Divine Connection that leads to our greatest destiny, or we can choose the wide road and lose our way for all eternity.

If we lose our way, God is still faithful and He will continue to beckon us by His Holy Spirit to come back to Him; to the narrow road. He will then help us find the last piece to the puzzle. It is the pearl of great price that will complete the picture and reveal the key to everlasting life.

It is Jesus. You can choose Him today. Call on His name right now.

He is only a heartbeat away.

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and you believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

I love you, but Jesus loves you more! He is the final piece to the puzzle of your life and destiny.

Keep Your Blessings Coming

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

Blessings flow like a river. This flowing river must not stop. If the flow ceases, small pools of water will spill over into low places along the river’s edge. When this loss of current happens, stagnant pools are created which provide a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, algae, moss, contaminated water, etc.

Have you ever thought of the flow of blessings in respect to seedtime and harvest? The principles of each of these are the same. When a farmer plants seed, he must wait patiently for his harvest.

However, he is the only one that is waiting. Under the topsoil that little seed is coming to life. It slowly begins to push against its shell until it bursts open. Just because we do not see it does not mean that nothing is happening.

It keeps pushing onward and upward until one day it pops through the soil and into the sunlight. What a glorious moment for that precious little seedling. Then with water, light, and the warmth of

the sun, it continues growing and growing until fruit begins to form

on its vines.

When the fruit reaches its full maturity, it slowly awaits its destiny– to feed God’s creation. After the fruit is gone the seed remains so that the process may begin all over again. Thus, we have the Biblical principle of seedtime and harvest.

If the river remains unhindered it will keep flowing. If we continually plant seeds, we will continue to reap a harvest. The secret is simple. There is a flowing in and a flowing out. There is planting and there is reaping. If either one of these components are omitted the blessings stop.

Giving will always produce receiving. “Give and it shall be given unto you, pressed down, well shaken and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure you have given it shall be given unto you.” Luke 6:38

If we desire to be blessed, then we must be a blessing. If we desire to reap, then we must sow. If we want abundant blessings, then we must bless abundantly. If we want to reap an abundant harvest, then we must sow abundantly. We choose the level of blessing we receive. It is up to us.

I want the abundant life; spiritually, physically and financially! So I must keep my river flowing and I must sow my seeds abundantly. Try it! God’s Word never fails. It is established in the heavens. If the Word of God is established in your heart, then it will work for

you; you never have to work for it.

Do you want God’s blessings to keep coming in? Then you must keep your blessings and river flowing out.

You Inspire Me

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

reachFirst of all I want to thank each of you who receive, welcome, and read my Charli-zines. I appreciate you all so much.

Beginning an Ezine was a step of faith. To be assured that it is God’s will, and then to believe that others will read it and be blessed by it is a little like walking on water.

I have had many wonderful responses from women who have shared their feelings and testimonies with me.  So it has given me joy and encouragement to know that I am moving in the right direction.

Inspiration for You

I cannot believe that the effects of fall are already beginning to come into view. Summer seemed to breeze in and out so quickly. It reminds me of  Ps. 90:12:

“So, teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” NKJ

This scripture has been such a constant reminder to me of the brevity of our lives here on earth. So many times we are looking back or looking forward, never realizing the joys of today and this present moment. The Lord states in Ps. 68:19:

“Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation!”  Selah  NKJ

If we constantly look back it can cause us to regret or become full of sorrow due to our mistakes. If we constantly look forward, fear and worry can overwhelm us concerning what might happen in the future.

This is the reason that God said that He is the “I AM.” [Gen. 26:24] He said that “Now is the accepted time,” that “today is the day of salvation.” [II Cor. 6:2] NKJ

If we can learn to live our lives one day at a time, then we will be able to enjoy all the benefits the Lord has for us each and every day. I don’t want to miss even one. Let’s embrace today and let God take care of tomorrow. Besides, we get more benefits tomorrow! Wow! What a deal our Heavenly Father has given us!
